[78-L] Need Help Identifying A Label

Per ARLD, it began as Rex, possibly around 1947, and changed the name to Rem
some time in 1949. Metro is listed as an affiliate label. One odd thing is that
there's also a Rex in New York in 1951, owned by "Richard Morros". Any relation
to Boris Morros, the proprietor of ARA, a number of whose masters ended up on
Rex/Rem?

No direct connection shown from ARA (which went belly up in 1946) to Rem..the
latter label probably just bought up available masters that were sitting at
Radio Recorders or the pressing plant, although any reissues I've seen have
been re-dubbed from the original lacquers and sound substantially better. If
you can find an unworn SPELLBOUND on Rex/Rem vinyls, grab it (my copy uses both
label names, by the way).
