Counterfeiting was a big problem in the 1940's but it typically victimized the independent labels that had limited distribution. Anyone in the industry at the time would have recognized the origins of this disc. Under-reporting on royalty statements to publishers was a widespread practise and this may have been a device to obscure the paper trail from outsiders. (The titles are Hora Staccato and On the Santa Claus Express by Freddy Martin)

Here's an really alternate explanation. Is it a bootleg?
