I just added a few tracks to mine via the RHJ website.I downloaded about 15
tracks of Frankie Trumbauer's 1940 big band that recorded for Obie's Varsity
label.I wish I knew more about

Trumbauer's big band.Speaking of Varsity, did Obie start the Wright Record
Company label?I have
some 1946 vintage Louis Prima Varsities("Saint Louis Blues"and "Chinatown,My
Chinatown")which
were rather well recorded as opposed to his output on Majestic.Come to think of
it,I had a HIT 78
also pressed by Wright.I'd like to find the personnel for Traumbauer's
band.George T. Simon briefly
mentioned it in his book "The Big Bands" from 1966.Apparently,Trumbauer changed
his name briefly
to "Trombar".Some of the tracks I downloaded were swing versions of the marches
I played in junior
high and high school like "National Emblem March","Stars and Stripes Forever"
and "Semper Fidelis".
One track which caught my ear was a number called "Never Never Land Fantasy";it
was quite good.
The recording quality left alot to be desired.
