If you know a more appropriate list for this question, let me know.
In Sam Cooke's "Everybody loves to cha cha cha" (Keen 2018), the singer/songwriter mentions a couple of cha cha's that he and his date must sit out. He mentions "Tea for two" which I've heard a few times as a cha cha; but he also mentions "Tom Dooley".
As a cha cha?
Cooke recorded in January, 1959; the Kingston Trio had the hit in 1958. Was this just a joke, or is there a cha cha version somewhere out there?
