Sunday,

Good Morning Kurt,

Would I be correct in thinking you are seeking data on US cylinders only ?.

I am interested in the output of a London (UK) based company using the trade name AXTON.    I have a Concert Phonograph bearing that name, plus the remains of a 2" cylinder box.    I am assuming they were London based.  I've found a small advert by them in a trade paper published in the UK.

I trust you are well,

Cordially,

Allan Sutton and I have been working on a cylinography to be
published later this year. There are a few numbers that we need to
fill or verify. If you have data on any of the following issues, we
would be delighted to hear about it! All assistance will be
gratefully acknowledged in the book.

Indestructible cylinders
(cardboard core with metal rings inside either end)

We need data on the following popular series numbers
2M   661, 662

4M   3333, 3356, 3502, 3517, 3521

4M English   7014, 7031, 7032, 7033, 7036, 7041, 7044, 7065, 7070,
7082, 7084, 7085, 7091

We have data on the following operatic & ethnic series numbers, so we
need anything NOT included here
10002 - 10004
12006 or 120006

US Everlasting cylinders
(smooth waxy core overlaid with celluloid; information pressed into
edge and usually very difficult to read)

We need data on the following numbers
2M
431, 423, 471, 478, 503, 518

4M
1220, 1229, 1353, 1373, 1408, 1436, 1440, 1452, 1494, 1513, 1546,
1559, 1588, 1641, 1643, 1647

4M Medicophone (all with an X- prefix)
200 - 203, 207, 208, 210 - 215, 219 - 224, 226, 231 - 233, 252, 255,
256, 261, 263 - 265.

We have data on the following operatic & ethnic series numbers, so we
need anything NOT included here
(Note that the gaps listed here were probably never assigned; even
so, without access to the original recording logs, one can never be too sure!)

2M
5302 - 5323
5330 - 5348  (may have "O" prefix)
5455 - 5463
5680 - 5683
5780 - 5786
5910 - 5911
5960 - 5962
5975 - 5976
6000 - 6009
7001, 7500, 8001, 8501

4M

21120 - 21143  (may have "O" prefix)
21245 - 21258
21370 - 21374  (may have "O" prefix)
21470 - 21473
