So there was a 40's set of this which got reissued in the 50's & 60's? Wow, I
didn't know that. Do you know the original 30's record numbers? Sounds silly but
I'd like to track down both 40's & 50's sets as well as a full set of the 30's
issues one day.

Would your 40's era 78 rpm album set ever go up for sale? If not then thats
fine. I'll just try Ebay.....

From the 1942 catalog (which saved me going down the hall and getting the
album down):

18121: 627 Stomp (Pete Johnson)/Piney Brown Blues (Joe Turner)
18122: Baby Dear/Harmony Blues (Mary Lou Williams)
18123: The Count/Twelfth Street Rag (Andy Kirk)
18124: South/Lafayette (Hot Lips Page)
18125: Good Morning Blues/Doggin' Around (Count Basie)
18126: Moten's Swing/I Want a Little Girl (Eddie Durham)

One of many great anthology albums Decca issued in the early 40s. Dave Dexter
Jr wrote about instigating that series when he was still too young to vote.
