This is the first evidence I've seen that my message turned up ANYWHERE...I've yet to receive it on Sympatico or Yahoo. Answer follows DB's question.

This is a Canadian series. They'd add a "2" in front of any series they wanted 
to produce from European or Canadian masters..hence, 216000+ or 24000+ or 26000+ 
or 29000+ .

So are you saying the US Victor versions would be the same number without the 
"2"?  That doesn't work because 9005 and 9006 are Wagner recordings by Albert 
Coates.

No, I meant that Victor in Canada made their own series by adding 2 to existing catalogue categories like 6000 and 9000. I've seen very few 26000s, several 29000s, and the 24000 series actually collided with black label Victors in 1932 when those numbers came up. Canadian black Victors (from US) were issued in 
Canada with a "0" preceding the numbers.
