In the 1958-1960 era, hit records were pressed on 78 for the benefit of the
diminishing
number of 78rpm jukebox operators. Here in Canada, I suspect there was also
a
market for 78rpm phonorecords in northern areas where electricity had yet to
be available...?! The latest 78's I have seen date from early 1960; they
often have
date information on their labels...?!
