[78-L] Layers of lacquer?

I'll scan one or two of them, the really irregular nature looks to me 
like it was perhaps dipped in vertically and perhaps rotated. there's 
nothing consistent to me that  in the layers that would suggest a sheet 
but, it's hard to say...  I certainly have others that have absolutely 
perfect coverage that reveals nnothing about the manufacture process.
