A note in an issue of 78 Quarterly (the magazine published every 25 years, whether they feel like it or not) mentions that one Harry Smith was Eli Oberstein's recording engineer. Is this the same Harry Smith who recorded custom airchecks in the 30s and 40s? And whose studio was taken over by Fred Hall and Chuck Phillips in 1944, according to this.
