Just a wild guess, but it does involve a man and wife and inadvertent conversations and talking in one's sleep at one point, and that's "Mother Hasn't Spoke to Father Since". VI 16765, but in print for several years and in fact he rerecorded it (as I found out when I bid on a batwing pressing to replace the cracked copy I'd owned since I was a kid).

One of the songs was particularly interesting & entertaining: something about a man and or his wife having dreams. Do you know what the catalog # is? I'd like to acquire or at least transfer an especially nice copy of it.
