True. The sessions kind of grew on me because they were different. Artie Shaw tried to do something similar in the late '30s but his "Art Shaw & his New Music" sides didn't do as well as his mainstream stuff, to his chagrin. But true CP bopsters that I know hate the "with Strings" stuff.
