To anyone who purchased my Jazz Man Record Shop book at the New Orleans ARSC conference, the companion CD is now available at www.originjazz.com. You'll note that there is a place in the back of the book where a vinyl sleeve containing the CD can be adhered onto the page. The CD and the sleeve can be sent to you now. Cost is $10 plus $2 shipping. The CD includes 25 tracks (as indicated in the back of the book) marking at least one side from every Jazz Man session, from 1941 to 1954. A bonus track featuring an informally recorded version of "Fixin' to Die" by Bukka White, which was recorded at the Jazz Man Record Shop in 1963, is also included. Happy ordering!
