As well, add:

A microgroove LP can often develop skips/sticks that arise from
(presumably) groove damage...which is (1) invisible to the naked
human eye...and (2) impossible to correct?! On 78's, similar
damage is usually easier to see, and can be (with patience and
a steady hand...I no longer have the latter!) corrected...!
