Majestic was the final evolution of Obie's "Hit" label. Majestic was a radio
manufacturer who revived a once-noted brand of radios (made by
Grigsby-Grunow, who bought the remains of Columbia in 1932 and
went broke shortly thereafter). A number of the Majestic sides were
reissued by Mercury; however, these may have been cases where the
artists were somehow able to obtain their masters?
