[78-L] Jewish?

If I recall the custom correctly he is Jewish if his maternal line  was 
Jewish. His attending catholic school cant undo that for the  groups that 
feel that jews are a race and not just a religion. Do we  know his 
mother's maiden name?

Doesn't tell you anything.  I'm not Jewish, however, my daughter - who, of course, has the same maiden name as I do - is.  My name could have been Christianson, hers would have been too, she'd still be Jewish.
