Found a two-sided Presto vinyl test pressing today containing two "air shots" by Lu Watters' Yerba Buena Jazz Band. John Buchanan's discography in his Watters bio "Emperor Norton's Hunch" indicates that "Tar Paper Stomp" was recorded at Hambone Kelly's in El Cerrito, Calif. in the summer of 1950. It was issued on a GHB CD #97. The other side, however, is not listed in the discography. This is "Coney Island Washboard" with a vocal by Clancy Hayes. The announcer's intro states that this side is also recorded at Hambone Kelly's sometime in 1950. There is audience applause, so this is most likely an air shot. Anyone know anything more about this side?
