Back in 1981, I tried syndicating a traditional country music strip radio series, which included a daily "calendar," a "Swingin' Years" style 1 hour program, and a 10-hour documentary on the career of Bob Wills. I sent 45 rpm demos to several hundred radio stations. Now somebody is trying to sell my demo, apparently not knowing what the heck it was all about. Amazing.
