> To assure we keep the used cow discussion on topic, TIT For TAT, so to speak, thought you would be interested to know one of my cousins was one of the largest dairy farmers in this part of the country for many years, died a few years ago when his tractor overturned on him but he was proud of his milk production, credited it to two things, every cow had a name, which made it easier to keep track and he believed, fostered good feelings with his stock. He also was convinced the playing of music was helpful in boosting milk production. Tried records briefly, but it was too cumbersome, then found a cassette deck which played continuously. Over time he became convinced the cows responded best to vocal pop hits from the likes of Sinatra, Como, Crosby, etc. When the barn was unattended, the radio was left on, but my cousin was convinced the talk shows did not do his cows any good.

I believe sheep prefer talk radio.
