[78-L] A NOLa moment during the ARSC Conference

IT'll be a while before I get my slide show together but in celebration of the beginning of Memoreial Day weekend I thought I'd share a short video I put together.

 

On Sunday night - I stayed over until Monday - I went to the Palm Court Cafe to hear David Boedinghaus and other musicians you'll hear about later. Rainer Lotz joined me and we sitting near the bar. When one hot number came on NOLa legend Lionel Batiste (now 80) - who had been singing - more of him in the final video - got an "older" woman to dance with him. She was really into it. I captured the moment with my camera. I went over afterwards and talked with her son. She was actually from Philly (where I live) and is - ready ? - 94 years old. Watch her moves. We should all be so lucky to be able to do that at that age. Anyway, enjoy. There are three sections and it runs maybe 3-4 minutes.
