Thanks. This makes them all the more curious. They would be from
1952/ 1953, so as to why Columbia, whose forte was the lp, would
adopt a format that was 78 rpm and 7 inch is odd. I have to wonder
how long this coupling lasted and if these disks had 10 inch 78
counterparts as well.
One of the reasons this is interesting to me is that in Brazil, the 7
inch single spun at 33, at least from 60s forward. It would seem that
South America is the place for odd size/ speed combos
