Girls in Jazz (RCA Victor HJ-11)
40-0144 Vivien Garry Quintet: A Woman's Place Is in the Groove/Body and Soul (recorded 9/5/46)
40-0145 Mary Lou Williams Girl Stars: Boogie Misterioso/Hesitation Boogie (7/24/46)
40-0146 The International Sweethearts of Rhythm (unknown titles - I'm missing that disc from this set) titles are two of the following:
Don't Get It Twisted/Vi Vigor/I'm Round and I'm Ready/The Tiny Boogie (10/14/46)
40-0147 Beryl Booker Trio: Low Ceiling/Don't Blame Me (10/8/46)
By the way, this is a terrific set. Have these songs ever been reissued on LP or CD? The Vivien Garry sides are especially good. "Woman's Place Is In the Groove" is a smoking hot instrumental with hot fiddle played by Ginger Smock. Garry was a bass player.
