Bluebird was, of course, a "branch" of (RCA) Victor. Decisions as to
what was reissued on the label were made on the basis of what
might sell (and thus make further profit?!)...and NOT on artistic
or "jazz-based" merit! Duke's name, of course, guaranteed (and
may still?) sales...?!
