[78-L] Celery Stalks at Midnight

I think the practice of listing the musicians' names on the labels began
with the rise of swing....in the mid-1930s.  Most likely the first records
to do so were the Victor Swing Classic releases.  It seems to have reached
its peak between c. 1939 and the recording ban.  You don't see the names
listed nearly as much afterward, generally it's limited to smaller groups on
post-ban releases.  (Later pressings of earlier releases where the original
label copy printing plates are still in use will still have the names listed
on them.)
