Bill Darnell: In addition to recording under his own name for M-G-M, Bill Darnell also recorded for Edgar Hayes (Decca), Red Nichols (Bluebird), and Bob Chester (Bluebird). I have the Hayes and Chester sides but especially enjoy his work on the 1939 Red Nichols Bluebirds. He was given some good material to sing and the Nichols sides are all very well arranged.
