I went through this before. My problem was space. I had room in a closet but not much alls ware except in the garage. I do not like keeping good records in the garage, it is cold and damp here. If you look on Creigs List. http://www.craigslist.org/about/sites you will find a list near you. Put in bookcase in the navigation bar. You will find a bookcase that will work. Get a good quality bookcase that is made with real wood. Don’t get a cheep pucky board (particle board) or metal bookcase. Don’t get one from a discount or warehouse store. Try not to get a very long one without shelf supports, 2 smaller ones are much better. Books are also very heavy so a good quality bookcase should work. I used cardboard spacers every 10 records with a number tag on them. A metal bookend at the end of a line will keep the line up vertical. A cardboard box, or 2 used as a spacer at the end of the line will work in place of the bookend. Used priority mailing boxes,
free from the post office work good. Make sure they are taped up good.
