I doubt it considering Malcolm's mentioning of all the Hawaiian's he
has, Randy S. saying that they are fairly common in Southern Calif, and
Uncle Dave Lewis's claim that Lincoln was sold at Woolworths for 25
cents while Cameo was sold at SS Kresge for the same 25 cents. ARLIE
indicates that in August 1925 Lincoln's price was REDUCED to 35 cents or
three for a dollar. Although ARLIE doesn't mention Woolworths, they do
mention Henry Waterson as being an exec of the company, and he also had
been responsible for Little Wonder (which happens to be the next
entry). Waterson's name does not appear in the Cameo listing, but they
also mention a price reduction to 35 cents by 1925 from its original 50
cents price at its 1922 introduction. Rust also cites Cameo's price as
being originally 50 cent, and adds that the principal outlet for the
label was Macy's!!!!! I would like to know what Dave has seen for his
store and price claims. I would agree with him that it would seem like
Lincoln should be the more frequently found of the two if it was the one
sold at Woolworths while Cameo was at Kresge, but neither Rust nor ARLIE
cite those stores.
The ARLIE Lincoln listing specifically states its disagreement with
Rust's January 1924 introduction date because the trademark application
of May 20, 1923 cites use since May 3,1923, there are indications in the
journals of issues in 1923, and the January 15, 1924 Talking Machine
World says Lincoln "has more than a little popularity through the middle
and far west." They also mention that it was exported to Australia
where Gibsonia and Popular labels were pasted over! Could there have
been a stop-over in Hawaii??

As far as I can tell, everything that came out on Lincoln also came out on Cameo at least until their absorption into ARC in 1928. Thereafter the Lincoln releases mirror the pool of ARC stuff until 1930 when both labels were dropped.
