My apologies, Mike. You are absolutely right: It was you who gave first 
notice of the link!  I must have been distracted by memories of the 
Haig & Haig pinch bottle. I can still see it now... .It was sitting 
right next to a copy of a 1937 copy of Esquire magazine, beckoning, 
beckoning. Since the book is presently only available in the States 
from Jazz Record Center, I doubt but few people are aware of it. I 
would agree with you: I think Teachout got the information from 
Hancock’s website.
