The story I'd heard was that Mrs. Coolidge had one of her lady
friends over for lunch one day, and the friend said to President
Coolidge, "I bet Mrs. Coolidge that I could get you to say three
words at lunch today."

President Coolidge replied, "You lose."

The scene: the famous Algonquin Hotel "roundtable."

Somebody rushed in with the news that President Cooledge had died.

Said Dorothy Parker: "How could they tell?!..."

Often a whole bottle or two must be consumed before the true flavor will come through for the novice. It requires, they claim, an educated palate to appreciate this wonderful beverage...."
