[78-L] Casa Loma myth?

In his notes to "Glen Gray & The Casa Loma Orchestra 1934-1941, MCA 
Coral (G) 0052.044 Charles Fox states: "That band was kept busy. It once 
set up some sort of record by playing 101 weeks of one-nighters in a row."

I take that to mean  approx. 707 consecutive one-nighters. In view of 
there being no significant large gaps in the band's recording career, 
this seems unlikely, unless most of the gigs were in the New York City area.
