I’m not in the least surprised to learn that. As Jeff says, the retail 
was too high and the records poorly marketed. It took me months and 
visits to a number of record stores before I was able to obtain all the 
Miles Davis Capitol records. Unfortunately, one day I put them 
temporarily on a chair and a visiting friend sat on them. Lesson 
learned: Never put records on a chair. Or a dining room table. Calamity 
awaits... It then took me years to re-acquire all the Davis Capitol 
records! I eventually succeeded in getting ALL the 57-6000 series 
except the Alice Hall. Never seen it.
