Well, I can do a little "figgerin'" here...!
There were about 4,000 SF Victors. Vi 16000 to 27975, less about 1500
numbers
not assigned, is about 11,500. 20-1500 to 20-7600 is another 6100. Then we
have
the V-38xxx and V-40xxx...say another thousand. We're up around 23,000...NOT
including Red Seal discs; that gives us c.40,000 Victors in all.
Now, we estimate around 3000 SF Columbias. A1 to A4002, less the
"educational"
records, is c.3800 more. 1D to c. 3500D gives us c. 10300; then "red"
Columbias
from 35800 to 41500, or about 5700; this means around 16,000 NOT counting
ethnic or classical issues. Safe to say around 30,000 in total?
Add another 30,000 for ARC and various independent labels...well, that makes
100,000. This in turn means my estimated 3,000,000 may be quite a bit
high...?!
