You remember incorrectly.  First of all the recordings were Program 
Transcriptions at 33, not 78s.  When Seth Winner redid it for BMG, one 
side went straight thru without having to be readjusted, and the other 
side only needed readjustment once.  When Brad Kay and Steve Lasker did 
it originally with less precise turntables than Seth has, they had to 
readjust  maybe three or four times, which is still pretty good for ten 
minute sides.
