[78-L] Silence (no 78 hiss) on CD issues

I just borrowed Stardust Memories: Hoagy Carmichael And Friends from 
the city library & am playing in the computer and there is only the 
usual 78 RPM record hiss on about half of the tracks. On the rest 
there is no hiss at all which I find to be very disturbing & 
unnatural  While each track is well transferred  (it's an RCA Victor 
CD) they are also filtered very well for the usual clicks & pops. The 
equalization seems to be good too. I hate to be a purist but I wish 
they wouldn't filter down or take completely out the hiss we 
collectors hear when a 78 is played on a turntable. I like that 
record hiss!! It doesn't bother me at all & should be left intact on 
CD issues.......
