[78-L] Edi-Crapophone

I wish I had captured all the photos when I first saw this. He had a
dozen detailed close-ups. The nameplate is on the top back of the
reproducer-horn joint and gave the Edison name in non-Edison style
script, and had both the Orange and NYC studio address! It is a lateral
reproducer which has a little half-inch diameter Edison rose colored
logo in the center of the diaphragm side of the reproducer. The
reproducer is locked in place with the locking nut with a two or three
inch projection attached to the reproducer -- you can just see it as the
horizontal like above the curved attachment from the reproducer to the
horn. You can also just make out a knob handle on the front of the
reproducer -- which is LATERAL, of course. The crank is all brand new,
the bar from the handle to the attachment is a modern flat chrome piece.
 There is no feedscrew mechanism.

The only original parts are the horn and the middle part of the horn
support. The reproducer, motor, turntable, and speed adjust are from a
suitcase portable. Everything else is new.

I'm speechless!

Wonder what the lucky winner will do when he finds that the soundbox
won't make
it all the way through a record?

As for "no minors to tell", I guess that means not to listen to
Archeophone's
"Actionable Offenses".
