I meant the source from which the 78s were dubbed, which as you say has a 33rpm 
skip.  There WAS at least one private studio in Toronto that would do airchecks 
in the late 30s and probably the early 40s, since I have a Gertrude Lawrence 
broadcast with fragments of a label (not CBC)..unfortunately not enough 
fragments to identify the studio. What's interesting is that these discs were 
pressed and were given Compo matrix numbers (does it say CT anywhere in the 
dead wax?)..could mean that more copies exist. I wonder if there was ever any 
intention to consider issuing this, till Rexy's French Cuffs took care of that 
idea?
