Re: the Bob Pope Orchestra. I forgot to mention that the band’s male 
vocalist was Nolan Canova, a cousin of Judy Canova. The first “Canova” 
came from Spain and settled in Florida in the 1500s. I was told this by 
one of Nolan’s sons whom I interviewed in 1985 about his father’s 
experiences with the Pope orchestra. His father was incapacitated so I 
was never able to speak directly with him.
