Also, the choral arrangements themselves were very popular in schools. Art
Dedrick had a big educational publishing company named Kendor Music and sold
these sorts of arrangements years before other publishers did. Kendor is
still in business, and for all I know, the Free Design arrangements may
still be in print. I can also tell you that "Kites are Fun" was covered by
Fred Waring for Decca Records. A friend of mine wrote the arrangement for
Waring, and his wife is a soloist on the track.
