The song about the gifts is related to a song called "And Yet I Don't Know"
-- it was recorded by Stanley Holloway on his 'ERE's 'OLLOWAY' LP from 1956
on Columbia (ML 5162), a collection of British Music Hall songs. You can

A quick Google search brings up several "Leprosy" links and various lyrics,
as
well as a lot of questions similar to yours. I remember hearing it sung
briefly
in a radio drama in the early 60s so I know it was around.
Nothing on the other one, sorry..

she remembers it from the 78s of our childhood. I don't remember the song
and I don't know who sang it but it outlined a series of gifts that were to
be given to different people and then the singer decides to send just
"kindest regards". I'm not even positive if that was the phrase, it could
have been fondest regards, but that was the story. Any help would be
appreciated.
