Well, the range would logically vary according to pi * groove diameter;
the groove diameter varies from a bit less than 10 inches, to pi * inner
groove diameter (around 3.5 inches?). Since the groove spirals inward
at a fixed rate, the rotational speed (and thus the pitch) will also change
at a fixed rate, I would assume?!
