Osborne started to lower his voice around the same time as did Vallee.  His 
vocal on the ARC "A Needle in a Haystack" from '34 is a very pleasant sort 
of high baritone effort.

Some of the earlier Osborne vocals are pretty bad,  esp. on slower 
tunes...same with Rudy's.
