[78-L] three riddles

Dear friends,
I have three more questions; one about an American record, one about a soviet recording and one about a Spanish one. I hope you are able to send me in the right direction.

First of all regarding Les Paul. I suppose this is the easiest of the three.

Les Paul and Mary Ford issued “Johnny (is the boy for me)” in 1953. I know that it is impossible to date a recording by Les Paul precisely as he recorded it over various days on his own multitrack-unit in his garage. But does somebody know more details about this recording?

As you might know, Edith Piaf recorded the song as well in 1953 as “Johnny Tu N'es Pas Un Ange”. I am curious which one came first; if Piaf covered the one by Les Paul. Can you help me out? On the label of the Paul recording it is stated as written by Spellman, Roberts and Les Paul himself. Maybe he included his own name just because he was responsible for the arrangement.

The second question is more difficult. I am trying to find the date of a Soviet-popular semi-jazz recording which was released on the official state-label. The label is printed in Russian writing. According to a Russian lady, who helped me in this matter, the translation reads:

Quick Dance (A. Cfasman) - Orchestra conducted by A. Cfasman - Leningrad Factory - #3 - 6376/4 - ?-0386 - rocy5289-50 - Ministry of culture of the USSR

I am trying to locate the recording date and place. Can anyone direct me to a newsgroup that might be more specialized on Soviet 78’s? Or do you know more about it yourself? If you like you can see the actual label on my website: http://www.78rpm.hovers.nl/78toerenE7.htm (third label from the top). It might be an interesting riddle.

My last question concerns a Spanish recording from the twenties or early thirties.

Always Sevilla, yes (j. Ibarra) - Fox-trot

por La Orquesta Demon's Jazz - HMV (Disco "Gramófono") - 2-260776 - AE 2626

As you can see, the record was issued on HMV. I contacted several acquaintances in Spain but nobody is able to tell me more about this so called jazz band or the probable recording date. Can anyone help? Or do you know somebody who is specialised in Spanish recordings?

I highly appreciate any advice or answers.
