Peter Muldavin's book has this dated to 1946.  Only four sets of two records have been identified to date including this one.  The only name mentioned with the label is George Wechsler.

I don't think that's an Obie item..but I'm surprised to find it on vinyl. I
believe I finally got an intact copy of it, either on US issue or Canadian
Musicraft, with the album..it's a hilarious (unintentionally) mangling of
Carmen for kiddies. Okay, Spike Jones was probably funnier.

Obie or someone like him DID steal (or have questionable rights to) the 1942
World's Greatest Opera sets, done with anonymous second-string Met singers, and
put them out both as straight transfers to LP (on World's Greatest, I think)
and with spliced-in narration by Milton Cross (on Parade).
