Well, they arrived in the mail - and yes, I should have known better than to
trust the mailer - however, the majority were in fact "Tuck's Postcards"
with one only which was "A John Mystery Singing Card" with soloists Willa
Hokin and Allan Ferris - Chorus Leo White's Orchestra - Somebodys thinking
of somebody.

The instructions on the front are:

Will play on any machine
but
for best results

1. Divide card on centre fold
2. Use only electric light-weight pick ups
3. use only shadow graph type needles
4. Disconnect automatic stop. see enclosed folder.

Sadly, due the lack of care of the mailer, the others arrived warped with a
clear crack through the centre of the little records - I doubt they are
salvagable but I am gently pressing them under a couple of books - unless
anyone can suggest an alternative option?

For interest - I was charged $10 AUD each - which they are happy to refund!

oh well,
Maria

(A 'female' collector - who has diplomatically decided to steer clear of the
'shellac widow' debate...!)
