And why is it wrong to ask the family?  THAT is what was suggested.  
Perhaps they'd like the idea.  Perhaps they wouldn't.  It is 
presumptuous to assume how they would feel about it until they are asked.

But anyway, why would anyone care if you approve of the visit to a grave?
