Don't have info regarding this, but love hearing his renditions on the Spike Jones radio series Spotlight Revue.....and would enjoy hearing this disc...where did you locate the disc?

Subject: [78-L] Doodles Weaver

Just picked up a copy of The Presidential Handicap b/w April Showers 
by Doodles Weaver and his Doodlebugs on Intro records (catalogue # 
6056). Curious little disk this. I have to wonder if it really honked 
off Spike Jones to hear Doodles so, hmm, perfectly be Doodles, on a 
non-City Slickers disk.

The A-side is Doodle's doing election results a la his schtick in the 
William Tell Overture. The b-side is him doing April Showers as he 
did The Man on the Flying Trapeze -- crediting vocal by Professor Feetlebaum..

Anyone have background on this gem?
