I have at least ONE "78" (a Berliner) dating from 1895 (that's 114 years
ago!).
It shows NO signs of deterioration, and still plays as well as it ever
did...?! A
shellac disc can only be destroyed by dropping it...as long as it is
carefully
played, it will last!
