Plastics? Hmmm? Isn't that what CD 's are made from? Will ya be able to play
them 100 years fromn now IF there is a hundred years fron now?Well, my
cassettes, and real to real tapes STILL play 40 years later!

Good question. I wonder if some of the high temperature, engineering grades
like PEEK and PPS could be used. Might be a bit expensive though. I remember
dropping a plastic part on my desk that was made from, I think, PPS and it
sounded like I was dropping something made of metal. Throw in a little
teflon and the records might just last 100 years. Oh, wait, the old ones
have last that long too...
