They purchased or otherwise obtained the entire Signature catalog, or else Bob
Thiele brought it along with him to Coral. Two Aquaviva sides that appeared on
Decca later appeared on MGM, so they were probably licensed from the conductor.
And there's the famous story of Stuart Hamblen bringing in a tape containing
"Open Up Your Heart" by the Cowboy Church Sunday School, but nobody ever seeing
the singers in the flesh since they were a normal-voiced group recorded at 33
and played back at 45.
The Decca books show matrix numbers L6544 and 6545 for this, recorded in LA,
Novbember 28/51..no indication of an outside source.
