[78-L] Grammatically incorrect

Strunk and White are not authoritative in any way, but in this case they're right. There is a difference of usage between the AP Stylebook (no comma) and the Chicago Manual (comma).

I don't have my copy handy,  but do I recall that Strunk and White says that 
the second (last) comma in such a list is optional?
